![Murphy’s Crossing]()
Murphy’s Crossing
In 1995, Bill Kinley purchased two historic italianate buildings in downtown Saline, and began a rehabilitation project that transformed the downtown. Partnering with the community and city, and adjacent to a coinciding parking lot redevelopment, Kinley substantially renovated both buildings, adding an elevator and staircase, connecting the buildings with steel walkways, and rejuvenating the structures with the utmost respect to their historic aesthetic. Praxis is currently working to complete the final phase of this project.

Touchstone Cohousing
Touchstone Cohousing is the completion of the final phase of the Touchstone Cohousing Community. This phase added the final 12 homes across 4 buildings into the flourishing 46-unit community. Requiring consensus-building, thorough planning and communication, and complete buy-in from all residents, Praxis delivered the last piece of the puzzle, offering the community 12 new members, as well as a substantial addition to their association revenue, and unlocking substantial future additions to the community. Developing and maintaining trust amongst the community was paramount to the success of this project, and it concluded both on schedule and under budget.

In2Being
In the aftermath of a kitchen fire, Praxis found itself with an empty former barbecue restaurant with substantial fire damage. Less than 9 months later, it became the new headquarters of In2Being, and one of the premier office spaces in downtown Saline. As part of a 6 tenant move, this renovation reimagined a restaurant space into an office headquarters with creative architecture and a successful use of well-appointed improvements, all while staying under budget and ahead of schedule.
