Our History

In 1979, Bill Kinley founded The Phoenix Company, and 6 years later Phoenix Contractors, Inc. Growing from the basement office into a company with $25million in annual revenue and a staff of over 20, Bill sold Phoenix Contractors to a trusted employee, and founded Praxis Properties with his son, Tyler Kinley. Since 2017, Praxis has grown its portfolio to include over 650,000sf of leased space across office, flex/warehouse, retail, and residential uses throughout Washtenaw County.
